AIBE Full Form: The full form of AIBE is the All India Bar Examination. It is a national-level examination conducted by the Bar Council of India for law graduates who wish to practice law in India. Based on previous year trends, candidates can estimate that BCI will tentatively conduct the All India Bar Examination for 2025 session in November/December 2025. The AIBE 20 will be conducted in offline mode. It is a pen and paper-based test that will be written at designated exam centres across the country.

The AIBE exam is conducted once/twice a year and the results are published on its official website- allindiabarexamination.com. Candidates who successfully qualify for the AIBE 20 exam will be eligible to get their AIBE Certificate of Practice (CoP). This is a mandatory certificate/document that allows candidates to practice law in India.

The All India Bar Examination was approved by the Bar Council of India on April 30, 2010. It was decided that candidates graduating after the academic year 2009-2010 may apply to appear for the AIBE exam. The candidates may apply for the AIBE exam only after enrolling as advocates under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961.
This exam is conducted to assess the basic knowledge of a candidate who wishes to pursue law as their career. The AIBE exam is conducted in 50 cities of India in national and regional languages.
The Bar Council of India is a statutory body established by the Parliament of India under the Advocates Act, 1961. BCI acts as an authoritarian body that grants recognition to the universities that want to offer legal education in India. The AIBE XX 20 exam will be conducted under the guidance of the Bar Council of India.
Candidates who wish to appear for the AIBE exam must fulfill the AIBE 20 eligibility criteria detailed by the Bar Council of India. The detailed AIBE eligibility criteria for 2025 have been given below:

The 19 subjects in the AIBE syllabus cover many law topics. Every year the syllabus is published on the AIBE official website- allindiabarexamination.com. Any changes in the syllabus of AIBE 2025 will be updated here. The AIBE syllabus comprises 100 questions, with a minimum of two questions from each subject. Candidates who successfully qualify the AIBE 20 exam, will receive the AIBE Certificate of Practice from the Bar Council of India. The AIBE CoP is mandatory to practice law in India. The qualified candidates can collect the AIBE 2025 CoP from their respective State Bar Councils.

If you forgot to mention your booklet set code and other details on your AIBE 2024 exam OMR sheet while filling the rest of the information correctly, your exam may not be evaluated properly, and you could potentially face a delay in your results or even have your exam invalidated; however, there might still be a chance to rectify the situation.
Since AIBE exam is OMR based paper and is checked by using a specialized scanner called an "OMR scanner" which reads the darkened bubbles on the sheet, interpreting them as answers, and then comparing them to the answer key to generate a score - essentially, the machine "reads" the marks made on the paper to determine the correct answers, all through a process called Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). If it doesn't recognise your booklet code there are chances that it could not process your answer on code basis.
Reach out to the Bar Council of India (BCI) as soon as possible through their official website or helpline number. Explain the situation clearly, mentioning that you filled in all the details correctly except for the booklet set code and other missing information.
If possible, try to attach a scanned copy of your OMR sheet where you can highlight the correctly filled details and the missing booklet set code.

Using a whitener in the AIBE 19 exam (All India Bar Examination) is generally not allowed, as per the examination guidelines. However, if you used it in just one question and the rest of your answer sheet complies with the rules, the likelihood of outright rejection may be lower, but it ultimately depends on the discretion of the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Wait for Official Notification, Check your result once it is released, If the BCI invalidates your paper, they will usually notify you.
In some cases, minor infractions like using a whitener in a single question may not lead to disqualification, provided the rest of the answer sheet adheres to the rules. However, the final decision rests with the BCI.
Stay calm and wait for the official result or response from the authorities. Mistakes happen, and the best approach is to address them responsibly.
