The Delhi High Court has reserved the judgement on CLAT UG cases. The Delhi HC will deliver its judgement shortly. The CLAT 2025 PG hearing will begin from April 21, 2025. Since April 7, the HC has sped up the case list and the CLAT 2025 HC hearing is now being conducted on a daily basis. On April 7, the Delhi HC observed that the cases need to be concluded at the earliest to not further prolong the CLAT 2025 admission process. The Delhi HC has also asserted that it will first take up the CLAT 2025 UG cases and will move to the PG cases only once the UG cases are done with. As of now different petitioners have challenged the CLAT 2025 answer key for different questions. Earlier, the Supreme Court had directed that all cases related to CLAT 2025 must be heard in a single court. The Delhi HC has concluded the CLAT 2025 UG cases hearing on April 9, 2025. The division bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela has also reserved the judgement in this case. The CLAT 2025 UG judgement will be delivered shortly. On the CLAT PG results hearing, the Delhi HC said it will start hearing of PG cases from April 21, 2025. With the CLAT 2025 UG cases verdict reserved, it is expected that the CLAT 2025 counselling will begin shortly.
The CLAT 2025 Delhi HC hearing continued on April 8. The bench of judges had earlier iterated that they will finish up the CLAT 2025 UG cases list and then move on to the PG list. Today, the court majorly heard the counsels’ challenges to the CLAT 2025 answer key and counter-arguments from consortium of NLUs’ counsel Senior Advocate Rajshekhar Rao. On one challenge on CLAT 2025 answer key, Rao said, “There was conflict between two subject matter experts. They had split opinion. This is a question of logical verbal reasoning on homeless people. He goes into each of the options given.”

Similarly, Rao took Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela through all the questions for which answer key was challenged by different petitioners. On one question the Chief Justice observed, “Oversight Committee does not have experts. Will it be possible for them to overrule. If they are at variance with the experts then how is it done. You may be expert in law but not quantitative questions.” Furthermore the division bench suggested the Consortium of NLUs to have better paper setters in the future.
Today, the division bench heard all challenges from Aditya Singh (the initial petitioner who got two questions revised in a two-judge bench order). Also, the Delhi HC heard Harshit Garg’s counsel’s arguments on some questions. The Delhi HC has now adjourned the matter for tomorrow. The CLAT 2025 Delhi HC hearing will begin again tomorrow, i.e. April 9.

We propose to complete the hearing at the earliest so that results can be declared. UG may start.”
With 30 marks in CLAT 2025, getting admission in NLU Jodhpur is not possible because its cutoff is usually very high. For general category, students need around 90–95 marks or a top rank. Even for SC/ST categories, the required score is much higher than 30. But don’t worry — you can try for other private law colleges that accept low CLAT scores or prepare again for CLAT 2026. With better preparation, you can get into a good law college next time.
For GGSIPU BA LLB through CLAT 2025, the expected cutoff rank for EWS category students from outside Delhi is around 8,500 to 12,000. This means if your CLAT rank is in this range, you may get admission. Cutoffs can change depending on how many students apply and available seats. So, keep checking official updates during counseling to know the exact cutoff and don’t lose hope!

Hello Sushil,
You will be eligible to take the CLAT examination in December 2027.
Since you will be giving your Class 12 board exams in February 2027, you will not be eligible for the CLAT held in December 2026. CLAT requires candidates to either have passed or be appearing in the Class 12 examination in the same academic year of admission.
Important points:
CLAT is conducted in December for admission in the next academic year.
You must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 by the year of admission.
Since your Class 12 boards are in 2027, your valid CLAT attempt will be in December 2027.
You should prepare accordingly for the CLAT 2027 attempt.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
