The legal reasoning for CLAT 2027 has a 25% weight in the CLAT syllabus. The consortium of NLUs specifies that prior knowledge of the law is not required for the legal reasoning syllabus for CLAT 2027. However, CLAT experts suggest that some level of familiarity with basic legal principles and current legal affairs will help the candidates answer questions quickly and perform better in the exam.
