MH CET Law 2020 - The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will conduct MH CET Law 2020. The officials will release MH CET LAW 2020 information brochure of 3 year LLB and 5-year LLB courses, tentatively in the third week of December 2019. The admission process will begin with filling up of MH CET Law 2020 application form. Candidates who are planning to appear in MH CET 2020 Law will have to apply through an online application form which will be available at the official CET website. Successfully registered candidates will be issued admit cards for appearing in MH CET Law 2020. After the conduct of MHT CET, the conducting body will release MH CET LAW 2020 answer keys and result. The state-level entrance test is conducted once in a year for admissions to undergraduate course of law, namely 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated LLB. MH CET Law 2020 will be open for candidates from all over India including candidates from Jammu & Kashmir. There will be more than 15000 seats in 3-year LLB and around 10,000 seats in 5-year LLB programmes to be offered by all participating universities and their affiliated colleges.

The DHE, Maharashtra has prescribed some eligibility criteria for candidates going to appear in MH CET Law 2020. The eligibility criteria of MH CET Law are the minimum required standard for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. It is very important on part of the candidate to read carefully the prescribed MH CET Law eligibility criteria 2020. Only after satisfying the eligibility criteria one should apply for MH CET 2020. While the educational qualification will vary according to the requirements of the above-mentioned programmes, there are some common eligibility criteria for both the undergraduate programmes. The basic eligibility criteria are mentioned below.
Eligibility criteria for entrance test of 5-year LLB programme
Candidate appearing for 5-year LLB entrance should have completed Intermediate or any equivalent exam (for eg. 3-year diploma in engineering) from any recognized board or university.
Minimum aggregate percentage - Candidate must meet the minimum aggregate criteria while applying for MH CET Law 2020. The minimum aggregate criteria is mentioned below.

Candidates who have completed their senior secondary or obtained first-degree certificate through distance education or correspondence method are also eligible to apply for MH CET Law, provided such candidates have already acquired basic qualification (class - 10th, class - 9th) before completing the minimum required qualification i.e., class - 12th.
Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Further, candidates should note that the 10+2+3 pattern is mandatory for MH CET Law 3-year LLB.
Minimum aggregate percentage - Candidates will have stick with minimum required aggregate criteria to appear in MH CET Law 2020, which is mentioned below.
An applicant who has completed an undergraduate degree of minimum 3 years and PG degree of ⅔ -years duration along with the basic qualifications in the order of 10+2+3 are eligible to apply for MH CET Law 2020.
Candidates having a degree from the open university, recognized by UGC are also eligible.
Candidates in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for MH CET Law 2020, Such candidates will have to produce the documents related to qualifying exam at the time of counselling and admission process.
The application forms for 5-year LLB will be released on January 20, 2020, while the application forms for 3-year LLB will be released on March 19, 2020. MH CET Law 2020 application form will be available on the official website in online mode only. Candidates will have to apply online by registering themselves on the CET Cell website. After registration, candidates will need to fill their personal details, such as name, address, mobile number, email id, educational qualifications etc. Along with MH CET Law application form 2020, candidates will have to submit the application form fees.

While submitting MH CET Law application form, candidates will have to pay the application fee. The application form fees will vary according to the category of the candidate, the fee structure is given below in the table.
* General category will include general category candidates from Maharashtra and all candidates from other states.
^ OBC, SC and ST categories will include only candidates from Maharashtra who are from these categories.
The Maharashtra law colleges will offer seats on the basis of reservation criteria. To get the benefits of reservation, candidates will have to apply for category reservation at the time of registration and filling-up of MH CET Law 2020 application form.
Candidates should that category reservation benefits will be available to only those who are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra. Other candidates from outside of Maharashtra will have to apply under general category. The category-wise reservation criteria is mentioned below.
The admit cards for MH CET Law 2020 will be released separately for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses. Candidates will be able to download admit card from the official CET website (alternatively, the download link will be provided in this section). MH CET Law admit card 2020 is the most important document for MH CET Law entrance exam. It will contain all the information regarding MH CET Law exam 2020 like exam centre, exam date, timings, exam instructions along with candidates name, category and other important information. To download MH CET Law 2020 admit card, candidates will need to follow a few steps as given below.

While filling the online applications candidates will be given 3 choices for selecting exam centres. MH CET Law 2020 exam centres will be made available throughout the state of Maharashtra and in some major cities outside Maharashtra, While filling the exam centre choice, candidates should select the exam centres in the order of preference. The conducting body will not entertain any request for change of exam centre once MH CET application form is filled and submitted by the candidate.

The online exam for MH CET Law will be conducted separately for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programme. And 120 minutes will be given to attempt the test.

While most of the sections of the syllabus are common for both the undergraduate programme. The 5-year LLB will have maths in addition. Moreover, exam standard will also vary as per the requirement of the programme. For eg. in 3-year LLB, questions will be keeping graduation level in mind and in 5-year LLB question paper will be of intermediate level.

The CET CELL, Maharashtra will release MH CET Law 2020 result on the official website of CET. The result for MH CET Law 5-year LLB will be released on April 28, 2020, while the result for MH CET Law 3-year LLB will be released on July 14, 2020. The result declaration will be accompanied by the release of the rank card of candidates, which in turn will include the name of the candidate, category, combined rank/all India rank, marks, and qualifying status etc.
Following the result declaration, CET Cell, Maharashtra will release the MH CET Law merit list 2020 as provisional and final merit list. Candidates who feature in the provisional or final merit list will have to attend MH CET Law counselling.
MH CET Law counselling 2020 counselling and seat allotment will start after the declaration of results, at the final stage. Candidates who were found eligible as per the merit list released by the authorities will be called for counselling. The counselling process involves a series of steps like candidates’ online registration, collecting admission letter, remitting the counselling fees and then finally submitting the original documents. There will be multiple rounds of counselling. And, the total number of counselling rounds will depend on how much seats are left vacant after each round of counselling
The seat allotment will be based on the parameters of merit cum preference and availability of seats. Candidates scoring higher marks and finding better rank will be given preference on seat allotment as they will have more options while selecting colleges.
After each round of counselling, all participating colleges of MH CET Law will release category wise cut off list separately for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The cut off will depend on multiple factors like the number of candidates appearing for MH CET Law exam, difficulty level of the paper, the number of seats available for admission etc. Below the general category cutoff for last year is given in a table, candidate’s may refer to previous year cutoff to understand what minimum rank they will need to achieve for admissions to different law colleges in Maharashtra.
