MH CET Law 2019 - Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra will conduct MH CET Law 2019 by the last week of April 2019 five-year integrated law programmes and for three year law programme, it will be conducted in the second week of June 2019. The national-level law examination will be conducted in online. Candidates who wish to seek admission into the undergraduate law programmes, need to appear in MH CET Law 2019 and qualify it as well. MH CET LAW will be conducted in as many as 53 cities of different states offering seats into 22 participating institutes of MH CET Law.

MH CET Law 2019 aspirants applying to three-year LLB programmes will secure a seat for themselves from a total of 15040 seats across 218 colleges affiliated to 11 state universities. Moreover, candidates appearing in MH CET Law for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes will secure a seat amongst the 10060 seats on offer in 153 colleges of the state universities. As per the exam pattern, DHE Maharashtra administered examination will be conducted in online where candidates will be given two hours time with multiple choice questions to attempt. Moreover, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer; no negative marking will be imposed on the candidates. MH CET Law 2019 - Admission Process 

Directorate of Higher Education Maharashtra starts its admission procedure with the issue of notification in the month of February followed by the release of the application form by the third week of February for five-year integrated law programme and second week of April for the three year law programme. After the end of the application form in the fourth week of March for five-year integrated law programme and second week of May for the three year law programme, candidates are then made available with the admit card by the third week of April for five-year integrated law programme and by the last week of May for the three year law programme. After getting the access of the admit card, candidates now appear in the five year integrated law examination by the last week of April and second week of June for three year law programme. Qualifying candidates of MH CET Law are then made available with the result for five year integrated law programme by the first week of May and for three year law programme by the last week of June. The conducting body then conducts counselling from third week of June to first week of October and the classes begin in the month of November.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2019 

The conducting body of MH CET Law 2019, DHE Maharashtra will announce the eligibility criteria of MH CET Law 2019 by the first week of February 2019. Candidates appearing in MH CET Law 2019 are advised to read and understand the points mentioned in the MH CET Law 2019 Eligibility Criteria for the undergraduate law programmes as mentioned here -

  • As per the MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2019 for five-year integrated law programme, candidates should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination from any recognised educational institution with a minimum of 45 per cent of the total marks in the aggregate of the subjects, which however is 5 % less for those belonging to SC/ST categories of Maharashtra state.

  • Candidates appearing in MH CET Law 2019 to seek admission into the three year law programme, need to have a graduation degree issued by any university or college recognised by UGC and following a 10+2+3 education pattern with at least 45 per cent in the aggregate of the subjects, and 40 per cent for those belonging to SC/ST categories of the Maharashtra state.

  • There is no age bar to appear in the law examination, MH CET Law 2019 for both five-year integrated and three year law programmes. 


MH CET Law Application Form 2019 

DHE Maharashtra will announce the application form of MH CET Law 2019 by the third week of February 2019 for five-year integrated law programme and for three year law programme, it will be announced by the second week of April 2019. MH CET Law 2019 Application Form will be available for the candidates in online mode. Candidates will be required to first register themselves by following certain steps related to entering the name, date of birth, e-mail id and mobile number. After filling the required details, a validation link will be send to candidate’s email id enabling them to start filling the MH CET Law Application Form 2019. After successfully filling the application form of MH CET Law 2019, candidates will be required to remit the prescribed application fees via any of the convenient online payment options– Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking leading to successful submission of the MH CET Law 2019 Application Form by the fourth week of March 2019 for five-year integrated law programme and second week of May 2019 for three year law programme.


MH CET Law Exam Centres 2019 

DHE Maharashtra will announce the exam centres of MH CET Law 2019 in the month of February 2019. The law entrance examination will be conducted in as many as  53 cities of different states. After taking a glance at the MH CET Law 2019 Exam Centres, candidates need to choose any three centres as per their proximity and convenience. It should also be kept in mind that there will be no possibilities of changes to be made once the exam centre is being allocated. Therefore it is advised to the aspirants to choose the MH CET Law Exam Centres 2019 carefully. Rest of the details regarding the exam centres of MH CET Law 2019 will be inscribed on the back of the admit card of MH CET Law 2019. 


MH CET Law Admit Card 2019

Aspirants of MH CET Law 2019 can access their admit card of MH CET Law 2019 by the second week of April 2019 for five-year integrated law programme and for three year law programme, it will be released by the last week of May 2019. DHE Maharashtra will announce the hall ticket in online mode. The hall ticket of the state level law entrance exam will  mention the candidature and examination details including roll number of the candidate, exam date and timings besides the address of the exam centre.


How to prepare for MH CET Law 2019 

Candidates need to follow certain guidelines to successfully crack MH CET Law 2019. The guidelines are as follows -

  • Update yourself on Current affairs and General Knowledge

MH CET Law Exam Pattern 2019

DHE Maharashtra will announce the exam pattern of MH CET Law 2019 by the third week of February 2019. With the help of MH CET Law 2019 Exam Pattern, candidates will get idea of the questions, topics, marking scheme, sequence and other important details of the question paper to be presented to the candidates. As the MH CET Law Exam Pattern 2019 mentions, candidates will be given 100 questions to attempt in 2 hours of time. The law examination will include questions from English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and Basic Mathematics. Candidates are advised to prepare as per the MH CET Law 2019 Exam Pattern for better preparation strategies and good marks. 


MH CET Law Syllabus 2019

The syllabus of MH CET Law 2019 mentions that the law aspirants will be tested on four different topics namely Basic Mathematics, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude and Logical and Analytical Reasoning for five-year integrated law programme and for three year LLB, candidates will be given questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and English which is common in both the programmes.

MH CET Law Cutoff 2019 

The conducting body of MH CET Law, DHE Maharashtra will be calculating cut off for MH CET Law 2019 after the release of the merit list. The test takers who secure more marks than the specified cut off in the law entrance examination will be called to attend counselling for admissions into the undergraduate law programmes.

MH CET Law Seats and Reservation 2019

DHE Maharashtra will be offering reservation to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories including scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward class. Also, candidates should belong to the Maharashtra state, which means a candidate from any of these reserved categories but belonging to other state or Union Territory of India will not be able to avail the benefits and will be treated as General/ Open Category candidates. SC – 15 percent of total seats

ST – 7.5 per cent of total seats


MH CET Law Counselling 2019

After the release of the cutoff, candidates who meet the cutoff will be the ones to be called for the counselling and seat allotment thereafter. The candidates will have to first register themselves through their login id for the counselling process. Once the candidates have registered for counselling, they will have to provide their choice options for the colleges after which a list will be issued declaring the name of candidates, who have to deposit the fees at the respective colleges after undergoing document verification process. 


MH CET Law Seat Allotment 2019

As a part of the counselling procedure, seat allotment will be conducted by DHE Maharashtra. After the colleges upload the status of seats along with the admitted students’ list, the remaining candidates will be offered another chance to participate in the second round of counselling which will be followed up to six rounds.
