The MAH LLB entrance exam preparation requires around three to four months. The focus of MH CET Law preparation should not only be on clearing the entrance exam but also on getting a high rank because eventually, top-ranked colleges like GLC Mumbai, and ILS Pune have very high cut-offs. Candidates should start by covering each topic mentioned in the syllabus. Here are some preparation tips for the law entrance exam that will help the candidates navigate through the examination.
One of the most crucial sections in MH CET Law 2024, legal aptitude/reasoning is not only a test of a candidate’s legal knowledge but also tests the aptitude, and ability to identify arguments and draw conclusions using legal principles. Students should keep abreast of the legal current affairs of the last six months and complement it with the foundational knowledge of the subject. There is no need to study law in depth as the section only intends to test the basic knowledge.
Unlike other sections, this section is slightly dynamic when it comes to current affairs. Studying the current affairs of the last six months is highly recommended. Newspaper reading and basic study of history, polity, economics and environment are also crucial for acing the general knowledge section.
This section will have basic logical reasoning questions. Topics such as puzzles, blood relations, age, analogy, and coding-decoding dominate in this section. Candidates should prepare each topic with logical and analytical reasoning and practice several questions. The entire section of logical and analytical reasoning requires regular practice.
The MH CET Law English is a basic language skill test. The 3-year LLB CET exam has 50 questions from English and 5-year LLB entrance exam has 30 questions on this topic. Questions are framed closely in line with testing basic grammar skills, and vocabulary. Comprehension passages followed by objective-type questions will be the pattern for some of the questions. Additionally, some straightforward questions will be asked related to synonyms, antonyms, and error finding. Students can prepare MH CET Law English section by working on their grammatical and comprehension skills. The questions on reading comprehension usually take more time, so one has to work on reading and comprehension speed. Regular reading of newspapers, editorials and legal journals is always recommended for this section.
This section is included in MAH 5-year LLB only. There will be 10 questions from this section and can be a really good scoring section for students who have basic mathematical skills. Questions are asked only from certain topics such as profit-loss, interest, algebra, time and distance, probability etc. These topics can be prepared by sticking to the basic concepts and practising the questions regularly.
The MH CET Law scores are accepted by over 150 law schools in the state of Maharashtra.
