The Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra has released the MH CET Law 2026 notification on November 21, 2025. The MH CET 3-year LLB will be conducted from April 1 to April 2, 2026. The MH CET 5-year LLB will be held on May 8, 2026. The MH CET Law 2026 notification provides all important details and the exam schedule. The MH CET 3-year LLB 2026 application form is expected to be released in the last week of December 2025, while the CET 5-year LLB 2026 application is expected to begin in the first week of January 2026. Candidates will be able to complete MH CET Law 2026 registrations from the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org.
The MH CET Law 2026 will be conducted online separately for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. Candidates who have a valid score in the exam can register for the online MH CET Law 2026 counselling process to gain admission into the participating MH CET Law 2026 colleges. There are around 16240 seats for 3-year LLB and 10860 seats for 5-year LLB in the MH CET Law 2025 admission process. The CET Cell conducts three rounds of MH CET Law CAP counselling, followed by an institute-level round. Only those candidates who have a valid score are eligible to register for the MH CET Law 2025 counselling.
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test - Law or MH CET Law is a state-level law entrance exam conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra. Through MH CET Law 2026, candidates are admitted into 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges in Maharashtra. The CET scores are accepted by around 150 law colleges in the state. A total of 147 law colleges accept MH CET law scores.
Through the MH CET 3-year LLB entrance exam 2026, candidates are admitted into the 3-year LLB programme of participating colleges. There are around 16240 seats available for 3-year LLB. The syllabus of LLB CET 3 years includes sections on English, GK, legal and logical reasoning. The four sections are spread across 120 questions, each carrying one mark.
Through the MH CET 5-year LLB exam, candidates are admitted into 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges. There are around 10860 5-year LLB seats available through the exam. The MH CET 5-year LLB syllabus has sections English, GK, Legal and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics. The MH CET 5-year LLB also has 120 questions, each carrying one mark. However, the weight distribution for each section is different.

MHCET Law MAH-LLB (5 Years) (session 2026)
The authorities will notify the MH CET Law counselling schedule on its official counselling portal for 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB. All candidates who have a non-zero CET score in the MH CET Law exam could register online for counselling and seat allotment from the official counselling portal. The CET Cell will conduct the MH CET Law 2026 counselling through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB admission. Candidates have to register and fill in the LLB CET college choices through their login. The authorities will then allot the colleges as per the candidate’s rank and college preference.
After the completion of the centralised MH CET law 2026 counselling rounds for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The law admissions are completed at the institutional level as well.
Candidates are allotted seats in law colleges based on merit cum preference. Candidates must make sure to clear the MH CET Law cut-off to be eligible for seat allotment. Here are the simple steps involved for MH CET Law counselling.

Mumbai University has opened its application forms, under the Department of Law, for the two-year LLM program. The portable was made accessible for the applicants from the 3rd of August, 2024, and will be open till the 12th of August, 11:55 pm.
The applicants can fill out the form via their online portable, which is linked below for your convenience. The exam conducted by the Mumbai University for their LLM program is called the LLM CET exam, which will most probably be conducted by the end week of August 2024.
