    The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, published the detailed MH CET law exam pattern for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. Last year, due to a revision in the exam pattern, the number of questions was reduced to 120 instead of 150 in both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. The sections, weightage and duration have not changed in the revised exam pattern of MH CET Law 2026. The MH CET law paper pattern 2026 has four sections that are common for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. The common sections in the MH CET LLB 3 years paper pattern 2026 include legal aptitude and legal reasoning, GK with current affairs, Logical and analytical reasoning, and English. However, the MH CET 5-year LLB exam pattern 2026 has an additional Mathematics section.     MH CET Law Exam Pattern 2026

    The MH CET law exam pattern 2026 informs candidates about various essential details of the question paper. This includes the different sections, important topics, exam duration, mode, marking scheme and qualifying marks, if any. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will conduct MH CET Law 2026 for the MH CET 3-Year LLB on April 1 to April 2, 2026, and the 5-Year LLB on May 8, 2026. Through the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test for Law candidates will be admitted into the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of MH CET Law 2026 participating colleges in the state of Maharashtra.

    Legal aptitude and legal reasoning

    This section evaluates a candidate's interest towards the study of law, legal aptitude and problem-solving ability. The questions will be in the form of legal propositions based on certain facts. Candidates will have to assume the truth of the propositions and answer the questions by drawing logical inferences.

    The English section in the MH CET law paper pattern is a test of the candidate's proficiency in the English language. There will be a minimum of two passages to test the candidate's comprehension skills through questions based on the passage.

    MH CET Law 2026 Exam Pattern - Important Details

    Candidates are advised to read the instructions released by the exam authorities carefully:

    • The number of questions in the MH CET law exam pattern for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB has been reduced to 120 from the earlier 150.

    • MH CET Law time duration - The test duration will be 120 minutes. Candidates have to report to the designated MH CET Law exam centres at least 30 minutes before the exam.

    • Type of Questions - All questions in MH CET Law 2026 will be multiple-choice questions, and candidates have to select one option.
