The Common Law Admission Test is the toughest law entrance exam in India. Every year around 50,000 candidates appear for the entrance exam which offers around 4000 NLU seats. Given the tough competition, it is important that candidates score well in the exam. When it comes to CLAT 2025 passing marks, the Consortium of NLUs has not specified any passing marks for the exam. Candidates are given admissions based on their ranks in the CLAT exam. Usually the top ranks in the candidates are given admissions to NLUs based on the CLAT 2025 cutoff of each NLU. The CLAT exam was conducted in offline mode on December 1, 2024. The maximum marks in the CLAT exam are 120. There are no passing marks in CLAT 2025. The Consortium of NLUs has not specified any passing marks for the entrance exam. The NLU admissions through CLAT 2025 will be done based on the CLAT ranks. The CLAT 2025 counselling will be conducted in five rounds. Before each round of seat allotment, the consortium will release the CLAT 2025 merit list. Students will be allotted seats in NLUs based on their ranks, category and NLU preferences.
To understand their chances of admission, candidates must understand what marks will translate to what ranks. On a rough estimate, a CLAT score of above 90 marks will land up candidates a rank less than 1000. A detailed analysis of CLAT marks vs rank 2025 has been given below:

A score of above 90 marks can be termed as a really good score in the CLAT 2025 exam. A score of above 90 marks can be almost taken as a definite guarantee for admission into an NLU. Given the difficulty level of the CLAT exam, a score of 90+ is a really good score. Candidates with a score of more than 90+ can expect their ranks under 1000. In CLAT , the 9-digit admit card number is not the same as the roll number you have to write on the OMR sheet. The OMR sheet has only 7 blocks because the CLAT roll number is shorter.
You should check your admit card again and look for the roll number printed near your name and exam details. Fill only that roll number in the OMR sheet. Do not write the 9-digit admit card number.
If you still cannot find the roll number, you can ask the exam invigilator on the exam day.
