Delhi University will conduct admission into its 5-year LLB programmes based on scores in the Common Law Admission Test. Now that CLAT 2025 has run into court cases, there is uncertainty over whether the CLAT results will be revised. The Consortium of NLUs has also postponed the CLAT 2025 counselling process indefinitely. Candidates aspiring to apply for Delhi University's 5-year LLB programmes too are waiting for a quick resolution of the issues in the Common Law Admission Test. The next CLAT 2025 hearing at Delhi HC is scheduled to be conducted on April 7. In this article, let’s discuss whether DU 5-year LLB admission will be delayed due to the ongoing court cases.
The CLAT 2025 cases filed by candidates mainly about mistakes in the CLAT 2025 answer key which will affect the accuracy of CLAT 2025 results. Other allegations against CLAT 2025 include irregularities in the conduct of the exam, high costs of raising objections for mistakes in the answer key, and hasty publication of results without considering candidates’ grievances.
As per the trend seen last year, the DU 5-year LLB application form is expected to open in the fourth week of April 2025 which is 3 weeks after the CLAT 2025 Delhi HC hearing is scheduled.
It remains to be seen if the CLAT 2025 hearing at the Delhi HC will produce an outcome for the case or not. If the Delhi HC delivers a final verdict in its hearing on April 7 that is agreeable to all parties then the DU 5-year LLB admission process is expected to start on time. If the court cases are prolonged further, then the DU 5-year LLB application form 2025 will be delayed.
