The SLAT 2025 is administered on a nationwide scale, with English serving as the medium for all portions. The SLAT test has a total of 60 marks, and the cut-off varies from year to year depending on the severity and complexity of the questions. The test involves Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), each with four alternatives, one of which must be correctly selected. Furthermore, each right answer will be worth one mark. There are no criteria for assigning negative marks to wrong responses.

Candidates shortlisted after the Symbiosis Law Admission Test appeared for the SLAT Writing Ability Test along with the SAPersonal Interview (PI). The SLAT WAT was held in online mode. The Symbiosis International (Deemed) University notifies the WAT/PI dates for the SLAT selection process on its official website - set-test.org after the declaration of the SLAT result. The university conducts SLAT in two phases.

Exam Pattern of SLAT 2025

The SLAT exam consists of majorly Five major sections based on which a candidate is evaluated known as, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. The marks weightage of all these five sections is as mentioned below:

  1. Logical Reasoning: The Logical Reasoning section, examines based on understanding facts and information, decision-making ability and logically arriving at solutions.
  2. Analytical Reasoning: The Analytical Reasoning section, works according to the interpreting ability of connections between various elements.
  3. Legal Reasoning: The Legal Reasoning section, tests an individual’s capacity to implement legal concepts and reasoning skills.
  4. Reading Comprehension: The Reading Comprehension section, analyses the comprehension power of a person provided in the form of written paragraphs and passages.
  5. General Knowledge: The General Knowledge section, includes topics regarding current affairs along with static GK and dynamic GK.

  1. SLAT (Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test): The entrance test that is of 60 marks as mentioned above.

Take a brief pause and reply that you are unaware of this matter and will work on it so that when next time this question pops up any other time will be able to answer it. do not answer any questions in a hurry.   • Awareness about current affairs: Aspiring candidates must develop good awareness about the latest happenings in various fields such as politics, economy, sports and others. This will ensure there is no dearth of content when writing the essay.

  • Develop a reading habit: A regular reading habit not only improves knowledge but will also help in improving reading and comprehension skills, which are very important in law entrance exams.

  • Make Notes: If one comes across some important points during the course of one’s reading, they should note down the points. In this way, one can always go back to them to reinforce one’s grasp and understanding on a particular subject.

  • Work on improving vocabulary and Grammar: A good command over English with a wide vocabulary will enable the candidate to put down his or her thoughts on paper in a better way.
