  1. CLAT

CLAT is easily one of the top 10 law entrance exams in the country. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is national-level exam that is conducted by the 21 participating NLUs on a rotational basis for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by them. The participating NLUs offer around 2500 undergraduate and 720 postgraduate seats. In addition to these participating NLUs, many private institutes also use CLAT scores for admission purposes.

The online application form of CLAT 2020 will commence around the 2nd week of January. Candidates who successfully complete the application process will be issued admit cards for the CLAT 2020 exam, which will be conducted around the 4th week of May.

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the DU LLB exam on behalf of Delhi University for admission to the 3-year postgraduate law program offered at the university’s three law centres - CLC, LC1, and LC2. Each of the three participating institutes (or law centres) of DU LLB offers 886 for a combined intake of 2658 seats. DU LLB 2020 will be conducted in online mode around the 1st week of July and will be MCQ type. The National Law University Delhi, which is out of the CLAT ambit, conducts AILET for admitting candidates to its undergraduate (BA LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) law programs. The seat intake for both BA LLB and LLM programs is 70 seats each. AILET 2020 will be held in offline mode across 20 cities in the country around the 1st week of May. Questions will be multiple choice type (150 questions in total), while exam duration will be 90 minutes. Application form for AILET 2020 will commence sometime in the 1st week of July. 4. MH CET Law

Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Maharashtra will conduct the MH CET law 2020 entrance exam for admission to BA LLB & LLB courses offered by participating colleges in the state of Maharashtra. MH CET law 2020 will be an online exam that will administered across 53 cities in the country. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes and include 150 MCQs; each question will carry 1 mark, while there is no penalty for wrong answers.

Application form of MH CET 2020 will start around 3rd week of February; successfully registered candidates only will be issued admit cards for the exam. 6. BHU LLB

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts the BHU LLB entrance exam for admitting candidates to its 3-year undergraduate law program; the seat intake is 230. BHU LLB entrance exam is conducted in both online and offline modes at around 20 test centres. Admission to three year and five year integrated LLB programmes in the state of Telangana is done through TS LAWCET exam, which is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TSCHE. TS LAWCET exam is an online exam of 90 minutes duration, which includes objective-type and matching questions. Candidates can appear in the exam in any of English, Telugu, Urdu languages. The seat intake for the3-year program is around 3190, while the 5-year program has an intake capacity of around 1480 seats.
