NLU Meghalaya used to conduct its own university-level entrance exam known as the NLU MEG PAT for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. The CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025, in offline mode across India. The CLAT 2026 results were declared on December 16, 2026. Candidates who have appeared for CLAT 2026 and obtained a valid rank will now be eligible to apply for admission to NLU Meghalaya through its separate counselling process for the 2026–27 session.
The NLU Meghalaya admission notice 2026 states that for the academic year 2026-2027, they will conduct a university-managed admission and counselling process, strictly on the basis of CLAT 2026 ranks. From academic year 2027-2028, they will follow the centralised CLAT 2026 counselling process. NLU Meghalaya will soon release the counselling schedule on its official website. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in CLAT 2026. The university will then release the merit list on its official website, including the names of the shortlisted candidates.
