The Consortium of National Law Universities will publish the CLAT result 2025 on December 10, 2024. However, there is rising speculation from some quarters that the result may get delayed. The possible delay in the result of CLAT 2025 is due to the alleged discrepancies in the CLAT 2025 answer key. The Consortium of NLUs conducted the Common Law Admission Test on December 1 and released the provisional answer key a day later on December 2.
Experts have pointed out the presence of 4 incorrect questions in CLAT UG and two incorrect answers in the provisional answer key. If the discrepancies are proved then the total marks in CLAT UG 2025 will reduce to 116 from 120, and the two incorrect answers will be modified.
Another major cause for a possible delay in the publication of the CLAT result is a petition filed in the Supreme Court by two candidates who appeared for CLAT PG 2025. In their plea, the petitioners have said there are 12 incorrect answers in the CLAT PG answer key. They have requested the court to stop the publication of the result until the mistakes have been rectified. They have also challenged the 24-hour objection window to file grievances against the answer key, which they consider to be very small. The petition also seeks to reduce the objection fee of Rs 1000, which they opine is too high.
All eyes are now on the CLAT 2025 final answer key which is scheduled to be released on December 9. However, it remains to be seen whether the consortium will stick to its schedule or will take cognisance of the controversies and come up with a revised schedule.
