Whether 1000 is a good rank in CLAT depends on the category of the candidate. 1000 is a good rank for candidates from OBC, SC, and ST categories for admission into the top-ranked NLUs such as NLSIU and NALSAR. For general and EWS candidates a rank of 1000 is good for admission into tier 2 and 3 NLUs.
