The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the dates for the All India Bar Examination 21. As per the schedule, the Bar examination registration will open on February 11. The AIBE 21 will be held on June 07. The previous AIBE was held on November 30, 2026. The results for the same have been published on January 07, at allindiabarexamination.com.
AIBE is a mandatory examination for law graduates. Successful candidates are awarded certificates of practice, allowing them to practice in Indian Courts.
The recent changes in AIBE include a revision of the syllabus to incorporate new Criminal laws — Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). In addition to this, AIBE has been made a closed-book examination, which means only Bare Acts are allowed, not short notes or commentaries.
There were some changes in the eligibility as the council opened the exam to students in their final year of LLB. Law graduates must check the eligibility, including the state bar enrollment criteria, before filling out the application.
