As per a report by Bar & Bench, the Division Bench of the Delhi HC has decided to adjourn the hearing on the CLAT 2025 result petition to January 30. The HC adjourned the case as the petitioner, Aditya Singh, informed the judges that he would approach the Supreme Court to transfer the case to the top court as there are several CLAT 2025 court cases pending across the country in different High Courts. The dates for the SC hearing on the candidate’s petition are expected to be notified soon.
Meanwhile, the Division Bench has also allowed the Consortium to proceed with the publication of the revised CLAT 2025 result as per the order passed by the single-judge bench on December 20.
The final picture will be clear only after January 30. Meanwhile, candidates can check below, the possibilities for CLAT 2025 results that may arise after the hearing on January 7.
Particulars | Details |
Possibility 1 | The consortium accepts the Delhi HC verdict and publishes the revised result as per the single-judge bench order |
Possibility 2 | The consortium also approaches the SC and challenges the existing court order |
Possibility 3 | The consortium waits for the January 30 hearing and maintains status-quo without releasing the CLAT 2025 merit list and starting the counselling process |
Possibility 4 | The consortium waits for the SC verdict on the candidate’s petition and publishes the revised result as per the SC directive. |
Given the possibilities in the court case, there is no certainty on when the first CLAT 2025 merit list will be released. The CLAT 2025 counselling process has already been delayed. If the consortium follows the existing court order, then the merit list is expected to be out in January 2025. If not, candidates may have to wait longer until all the issues are resolved.
