The Supreme Court has given the final verdict on CLAT 2025. And the CLAT 2025 results will now be revised as per the judgment.
Here are some very common questions - that students have been asking -
When will the revised CLAT result be declared
What impact the revision order will have on their scorecard and rank
When will the CLAT counselling being
What happens to students who have registered already and paid the counselling fee
In this article, we discuss all these 4 questions one by one, read below.
1, revised result date as of now there is no confirmation on the result date, However, on May 12, Careers360 contacted the consortium through the helpdesk, and they responded by saying, the results would be uploaded as soon as the Supreme Court uploads the judgment. The judgment is already out, the written order can be uploaded anytime soon.
Now, if we go by this, the CLAT results should now be declared in the next few days. Also note that they have to restart the counselling and admission process, so, now the consortium will be in a hurry to publish the results.
2. The impact of revision order. Six questions were discussed in the Supreme Court. Apart from this, the Delhi HC decision on one of the contested questions was accepted. So, in total, there are seven questions — of these, answers will be updated for five questions and two questions went in favour of consortium.
In summary, and in the best-case scenario, a candidate may gain a maximum of 3.25 marks, while the maximum loss will be 4.25 marks. Regarding marks vs rank and the impact of 1 mark on the rank list, we already have a video attached below which students can watch and understand how the revised results are going to impact your rank.
It says “ If you have already completed the counselling registration process, then you do not have to do anything now. All previous counselling invites and payments will be honoured. The updated calendar will be published soon.”
If we elaborate this further, there are some points you should understand -
Irrespective of the revised merit list, all candidates who were invited for counselling earlier will be eligible for the admission process, provided their new rank helps them secure NLU allotment
There may be some new candidates who can be included in the invite list. These candidates will have to fill out the NLU preference list and apply for counselling and pay the fees like other invitees.
NLU choice filling window will reopen. While new shortlisted candidates will fill in resh choices, the edit option can be provided to candidates who have already registered and submitted the NLU preferences
Finally, if you are seeking a counselling fee refund, then you should wait for some more clarity, At this moment, it appears that those who fail to secure the allotments will be eligible for refunds as earlier.
