The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 exam follows a strict code of conduct. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) released a notification last year stating the code of conduct to be followed by candidates. Candidates are advised to read the instructions mentioned on the CLAT 2026 admit card as well. They must avoid carrying the prohibited items to the exam centre. Additionally, they must follow the CLAT 2026 dress code. Not following these guidelines might result in penalties like disqualification, criminal cases or other disciplinary action. This article discusses the dos and don’ts candidates must follow on the CLAT 2026 exam day.
Here is the list of things candidates must follow on CLAT exam day.
Arrive early: Students must arrive at the CLAT exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts. No one will be allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the exam has begun.
Bring relevant documents: It is important to bring the admit card with a valid ID proof to the exam centre.
Use correct pen type: All answers shall be marked using a black or blue ballpoint pen only.
Follow invigilator’s instructions: Candidates must follow the invigilator’s instructions without argument.
Report errors: If there are any errors in the CLAT 2026 question booklet or OMR sheet, then students must report them immediately.
